This robot vacuum mop is a great alternative for those who live in flats, as it carries the rubbish away in its own bin and uses an incredibly small docking station. The app lets you set up different modes and monitor cleaning. The mopping feature is also impressive.
Its obstacle avoidance and mapping are impressive, while it is able to mops extremely well, picking up pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties, self-cleans, and refills its tank.
iRobot Roomba Combination
The iRobot Combo adds mopping to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. It doesn't quite unseat our current Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which is more efficient and has an app that is easier to use on mobile devices but it does make an excellent choice. It was able to consistently remove dirt from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't among the most advanced in the world, as it lacks structured light and other technologies like LiDAR, yet it was able to avoid most collisions with furniture and other clutter.
The Combo comes with many of the same smarts that the J7 Plus has, such as an the onboard acoustic sensor for determining the floor's type and AI-powered Navigation, however it's not able to set suction power manually. It's also a little less compact than its vac-only counterpart, and it doesn't have an auto-empty dock.
The Combo is one of my favorite options for homes with a lot of space. Its sleek design is also among the best I've seen in the market. The matte black finish is more elegant than the metallic or glossy finishes of most competitors. iRobot also adds some more elegant features, such as the leather tab that opens the bin that is onboard and a shelf that can hold extra bags inside the dock. The iRobot Combo also allows you to easily create maps of your home, and to set up Keep-Out Zones, No-Mop Zones, and Clean Zones.
Roborock
While Roborock is comparatively new to the robotic vacuum and mop market but it's already earned a name for itself thanks to a suite of innovative cleaning technologies. Roborock's vacuums are world-class in suction, while its mopping systems use vibrating mops to scrub floors of dust. Plus, a wide range of mapping and scheduling options let you fine-tune the schedule of cleaning for your home's specific needs.
Roborock's obstacle avoidance feature enables the robot to detect objects that are smaller than its own height. This is particularly useful for Roborock's most well-known models, such as the Qrevo Master. It is the best of its kind in terms of navigation, thanks to vSLAM, and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been known to slam into pet waste and slam furniture without noticing. The Qrevo Master is able to solve this issue by utilizing a Reactive Artificial Intelligence system that uses dual cameras to detect the presence of objects in the room.
Roborock robots are equipped with a variety of convenience features to cut down on maintenance. These include docks that can be automatically empty, and mop washing stations with multiple functions. These eliminate the need to empty the dustbins manually and wash mops, resulting in an experience that is completely hands-free. Additionally the app's simple design and seamless connection to the robot makes it easy to use.
Hobot Legee D8
Hobot Legee, with its extensive variety of cleaning features integrated and advanced mopping features, is one of the best robot vacuums/mops available for both dry and wet floors. Its advanced navigation system combines five technologies to design and execute a route that is the most efficient. It can also identify various flooring materials and recognize obstacles with precision. It can lift it up to 7mm in order to glide across carpets. The Legee is an Gen 4 Robot, competes directly with the Eufy Robovac X9 or Ecovacs Deebot T20. Both robots cost more. It's not able to lift its mop to clean carpets and rug as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV ultra, but it is very good at cleaning hard floors. It has a self emptying bin, a high level of suction, a variety of mopping options, and a top-quality app that runs on iOS and Android.
It's smaller than most of the competition and its main brush is smaller than most but it still managed to make short work of our test area easily. The revolving brush on the side that is used for edges is a nice feature and, despite the fact that it didn't remove dirt from our rugs as well as other competitors, it did a very good job overall.
